This quinceañera was one of DJ Lalo's first events. My passion for music started at a young age. My father and my uncles were in a music group ( Los Flores de Durango), and my mothers family would listen to music all day long at the ice cream shop we used to own. When I was 12 years old, I learned to play the guitar, the bass guitar, and the saxophone, and I started to play at weddings, quinceañeras, baptisms and parties in Greeley and Denver. Playing live music is not easy and after every hour we would take a small break while the DJ would play a small set. The times when no DJ had been hired, I would play music that I had on CD's. One night, it dawned on me that I could be the official DJ at parties and I started to learn how to make transitions between songs so that the music could be continuous and people could dance all night long.
One of the first quinceañera events I performed at was at my sister's birthday. We had a lot of fun and the guests danced a lot. That was over 14 years ago, and in that time , I have learned very much about the importance of a DJ at a party and how the music selection makes a big difference in the guests' enjoyment especially at Hispanic and Latino events that have a wide range of genres such as Mexican rancheras, corridos, cumbias and norteñas, merengues, bachatas and line dances.
Now I have my own sound system and lighting and I am ready to help you the way you deserve. Every event is important to me and I will treat it as if it were for one of my family members. I can play all the best songs in English and all the classic and new songs in Spanish since I am bilingual.
I am a dj in Centennial, Colorado, close to Aurora, but I can travel to Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland, or Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We now also offer photo booth services.
